Our Team


Karen Seiger, Principal and Founder: With over 20 years of experience in marketing, project conception and implementation, and communications, Karen is the founder of Sirene MediaWorks.  She has been a consultant specializing in marketing, social media, loyalty programming, and partnership management for technology, advertising, and retail clients.  She worked in international marketing, loyalty, partnership management, and business development at American Express.  Prior to that she managed international aid and development programs in Latin America and Africa.  She is a published author and blogger, and she speaks Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, Dutch — and English.  She travels to Paris any chance she gets, and you can find her most weekends at New York City’s outdoor markets.  She holds a BA from Wright State University and an MA in International Economics from The Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).


Dr. George Kroon, Marketing Strategist and Green Marketing Specialist: George developed the groundbreaking Sustainable Marketing curriculum for Fordham University, focusing on environmentally sustainable business strategies and products for companies of all sizes.  He is a leader in identifying best corporate practices worldwide.  Incorporating his experience in academia and the private sector, he combines business and analytical skills to produce sound, feasible and profitable plans for businesses that truly wish to embrace environmental sustainability.  He also has extensive experience with consumer market segmentation and data management and analysis for large institutions, including Citigroup Private Bank, Chevron, and the Museum of Modern Art.  George was in the very first class of Peace Corps Volunteers, and he is fluent in Spanish.  He holds a PhD in Economics from UCLA.


Matt Israel, Branding and Product Specialist: Matt brings a diverse educational background and real-world experience as an entrepreneur to our team.  His years as a business affairs attorney in the motion picture industry at New Line Cinema give Matt insight into the formation, structure and financing of business entities and complex projects.  Matt has also formed and managed his own business, which develops, manufactures and distributes super-premium pet health supplements.  His experiences have included product research and development,  trademarking and intellectual property issues, marketing and promotions,  brand development and investor relations.  Matt has film credits on all the Lord of the Rings movies and Austin Powers Goldmember.  He holds degrees in Industrial Design and Law, and is licensed to practice in California and Nevada.

Adam McClean Adam McClean, Web Developer:  Adam is an experienced website developer with the unique ability to create extremely diverse sites, from personal and professional blogs, to corporate sites for small and medium sized enterprises, to international corporate e-commerce sites.  He has managed the ecommerce sites for the New Yorker Magazine, as well as the corporate-wide e-commerce site for Conde Nast Publications.  He recently managed the complete redesign and launch of Barns & Noble’s Kids and Specialty Products site.  Adam love Mexican food and is obsessed with Drum Corp International.  He holds a BA from DePauw University.


Lauren Ruggeri, Graphic Designer: Lauren is a talented graphic designer with diverse experience in product packaging, website, book and print media design.  She also has experience as a designer for the film and television industry.  She makes an excellent risotto using and old family recipe.  Lauren holds a BFA from Chapman University and an AAS from the Parsons School of Design.
